RJA #13b

This is one of my resources, it is a book.

Edward B. Fiske. _Smart Schools, Smart Kids_. New York: Simon and Schuster, 1991.

This book is about why some school work and others don't. This book talks about how a public school can be changed and how the schools should hold the teachers accountable as well as, the principals. This is a good resource.
Here is another one of my resources it is also a book.
John A. Stormer. _None Dare Call it Education_. Florissant, MO: Liberty Bell Press, 1999. This book is about the public school system. This book is for private schools and against public schools. Has a lot of information regarding public schools and is a good resource. This is another one of my resources it is a website.
Robert Kennedy. "Private and Public Schools Compared." goggle. 29 November 2009. .
This website compares private and public schools and how the differ. Some of the other things that are compared are the class sizes and where the money goes in the different schools. This is an OK resource.
Council for American Private Education. "Private Education." google.
My last resource is also a website.
. This website is for private schools and has a lot of information on the tests scores of private schools and public school. This is a good resources for graphs.

I did a survey for my research paper. Here are some of the question that I asked.

1. Have you ever went to private school?

2. Has any of your children attended private school? For how long?

3. If money was not an issue would you consider private schooling for your children?

4. In your opinion is private school better or public school?

I got mixed answers on these questions. Most of the people surveyed seemed to be more for public schools than private ones.

* Brief history

* The argument of my topic

* Where I stand in my argument

These are the things that I have accomplished so far on my paper

* I have completed all of my research on my topic

* I have started my introduction

* I have my thesis statement and I'm happy with it.

These are the thing that I still need to do-

* I need to decide which argument I'm going to make

* I need to start writing my paper

* I need to check my resources and make sure that I have the required amount of resources. I plan to get most of this done this week to the end of next week.

Here is a list of my visual aids:

1. I'm going to use a graph for a visual aid that shows the difference in test scores between private and public schools.

2. I'm going to have a visual aid showing how the money is spent for public and private schools..

3. I could have my survey I did on a private school teacher and a public school teacher.

4. Have a chart showing how many kids graduate from private schools and how many kids graduate from public school.

5.Showing a graph of how many children are currently enrolled in private schools and how many are enrolled in public schools.

RJA 11a

This is the introduction to my paper: When we have children as parents we often prepare for our children to go to school. There is many choices when it comes to schools. Often times the question is should my child go to private or public school. Private school is not always the cheapest way to go but private schools offer better student to ratio, the teachers focus more on the children and the children that go to private school succeed better in college.

RJA 9

My website that I looked at was www.msnbc.com . This seems to be a reliable website. I also went onto a website that is called http://idopodcast.wordpress.com this website is not a reliable site. This is the opinion of one women. My book is Setting the record straight: responses to Misconceptions about Public Education in the United States. This was published by The Association for Supervision and curriculum development. In was published in 1997. Seems to be a reliable book. My article was Public VS Non public schools: Over three Decades of Public Opinion Polling Public VS Private Schools. The publisher is Washington DC, National Education Assoc. It was published in 1984. This also is a good resource to use in my paper. Because it shows the opinion of a lot of different people.
